March 30th from 7pm-8pm

“Contemporary Palestinian Dabke is a technique I’ve been practicing for the past 3 years.
Questioning all layers of Identities; nationality, religion, gender and more
Through the Dabke and its repetition we move our energies as individuals but also as a
group. We jump and groove while holding hands in a circle, seeing and supporting each
body as if we’re a tribe that lives in this period of time. I'm using the power of the circle
structure as a ritual to connect to ourselves first and then to each other, to humanity, in order
to heal through an ethical indigence dance” Nur Garabli

Nur Garabli is a freelance choreographer & dancer located in Jaffa, occupied Palestine. Nur
has a B.Ed. in dance and education from the School of Dance Arts, Kibbutzim College in
Tel-Aviv. She is also involved in the “Moving Together” project, together with the
choreographer and dancer, Yasmeen Godder where she teaches Palestinian dabke and
through bodies and dialogue, she brings together women of all ages, communities and
cultures. Garabli has curated and functioned as the artistic director of “Moving Together”
festival in March 2022+2023 together with Godder; she continues working to promote local
Palestinian arts and culture within the Arab community.
